Human?
A reminder to myself, more than anything, beneath the hood, humanity largely mirrors the instinctual nature of animal attributes. It requires extraordinary, deliberate effort to reduce those primal impulses, qualities and truly realize our rare higher nature of what it means to be human. Intelligence and social accomplishments are not at all an indication of this effort, if any they often confirm the instinctual nature. I fail miserably on this front than I can share.
