Kert Gunasekaran A obedient human’s challenge is this, a sacrifice, a prayer, a commitment, a temple, a statue, a song, a chant, a ceremony, a religion are all the stepping stones invented by man to guide, train their inner compass towards the unknow, away from all the other distractions humans have invented from the occupation of mind. But it becomes a distraction when they don’t know where to go and start going in circles. Repetition is never the answer, but there will be some repetition needed for growth. There is circular movement in a spiral. But the path is a spiraling out journey not a circular one, though it feels like you are going in circles, your challenges will grow so will you. But if you keep falling into the monotony of repetition with no growth, it becomes your trap away from the unknown. You will practice sacrifice, prayer, commitment, a temple, a statue, a song, a chant, a ceremony, a religion with no avail. This becomes your trap, others may follow you or find you disciplined, even noble but that’s irrelevant. Your covenant is to grow with the unknown not climb social determinants or conformities. That is no true bearing in your inner growth. I have found rich religious fools I despise and poor wise people I embrace with affection.
