What is a good life ?
Decent amount of money to buy convenience but suffering the loss of identity, lack of freedom to choose how your day should be, lack of freedom to pursue what you believe in the most. Doing work that others and or no one cares for if it gets done ?, Good money to go on vacations anywhere once a year for just a week or so, as anything longer is tough to pull off financially, and your “management” expects your tasks be completed and your body be at a desk – a 6′ X 8′ cubicle coffin?
What is good life – where you have the money you want, but are a slave to stupidity ? is that a good life ?
Good life is finding happiness in the simplest of things with people you love, enjoy and having the freedom to pour your passion into the work you chose to fill the time with, where each day no matter success or failure, money or no money, you did your best enjoyed the humility, while doing things because you loved it and its your purpose. And you have ‘a family’ to enjoy it with, that’s life and the time that you can call your very own, that’s a good life by all standards. simple as that.

very happy to see your posts. I completely share your thoughts. There was a small saying from osho, if you are happy you have money, you will be more happy. If you are unhappy and you have money, you will be more unhappy. So money is very powerful in the sense that it is catalyst that will bring out quickly who we really are. So I guess I didn’t try hard enough to achieve happiness before starting to earn money. I was so busy to get started. But as it progressed I got confused because i didn’t realize it is a catalyst and started making more and more money. And became more unhappy. So it boils down to making tough choices to pursue the ideal life that we all desire.
