US &/in Egypt

I really don’t understand US’s involvement in Egypt’s present political turmoil.  It may not be the best diplomatic move on US’s part. If the contention is to ease in with the opposition party in Egypt such that the American interests are preserved in the middle east would be arguable at best. However, the premium in this task is to stay neutral and drive a compelling show that they are neutral to both the ruling and opposition regime in Egypt and critically care of the democratic interests of the people of Egypt.  Considering the escalation climate, it is going to be next to impossible to achieve it. What I don’t know and I am weary of is Israel’s influence in all these diplomatic talks.

There’s  saying from the place I grew up, it translates such: Don’t take a lizard from the fence and drop it in your knickers.  I was just reminded of it for some reason.
